December is here, and there’s no place quite like the Kona Coast when the holiday season meets whale watching!

The pelagic wildlife off the coast of Kona continues to amaze! This week we were treated to an epic encounter with Blainville's beaked whales.

This week we had some spectacular encounters with pilot whales, three types of dolphins, oceanic white tip sharks, and another early humpback whale!

We had such a phenomenal week spotting pilot whales, melon-headed whales, dolphins, two shark species, and a humpback.

Big news! Today we encountered our first humpback whale on the Kona Coast during our 8:30 AM pelagic whale watch!

This week we spent time with Hawaiian spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, short-finned pilot whales, and oceanic white tip sharks!

We had such a cool encounter with a short-finned pilot whale this week! The whales welcomed us back with a splash!

This week on one of our trips, we encountered one of the rarest species in the world... a pod of Longman's beaked whales!

A tsunami warning, pilot whales, and dolphins.. oh my! Mother Nature was on our side this week on our dolphin/whale watching tours.

We saw Hawaiian spinner dolphins and short-finned pilot whales on our year-round dolphin/whale watching tours.

Our favorite encounter took place near the fish pens where bottlenose dolphins and Hawaiian monk seals were interacting!

We watched two of Kona's year-round whale species on our tours this week! It's always whale watching season on the Big Island.

SO much wildlife on our trips including exotic species like false killer whales, rough-toothed dolphins, and Pantropical spotted dolphins.

In addition to pilot whales and dolphins, we encountered the largest of the toothed-whale species... Sperm whales!
