Whale & Wildlife Report | January 14-20, 2024

Our whale-watching tours spotted lots of whales, dolphins, and other marine life on our adventures! One of our favorite aspects of our tours is educating guests about the wildlife we encounter, and Mother Nature gave us a lot to share this week! Our marine naturalists elevate every excursion, and they had a blast talking with guests about the many whales that we spotted. If you’re looking for an exciting and informational adventure, our tours are for you!

We saw humpback mom and calf pairs, male competition pods, and a few solo travelers on our whale-watching trips. We found some especially friendly and curious whales; although it seemed like they found us. We got some unbelievable looks and what felt like non-stop action with pec slaps, lunging, and rolling. We also encountered quite a few pods of dolphins including Hawaiian spinner dolphins, Pantropical spotted dolphins, and bottlenose dolphins; all of which at some point were interacting with the whales! We had the opportunity to lower Artemis’s bow ramp on multiple occasions, and guests were able to watch groups of bow-riding dolphins below!

A special shoutout to our guests this week for working with the weather! Booking an adventure early in your vacation is always the way to go, and the trips that we ran turned into some of our best of the season. We’re feeling the humpback hype, and we’ll continue to share our awesome encounters on our social and in our weekly whale report!
