Year-Round Dolphin/Whale Watching Tours | We’re Back!

September tours

PC: Olivia Miller

Our team is back from Tonga!

If you’ve been following Captain Andrew (@andrew.aggergaard) and Naturalist Olivia (@livfortheocean) on social, you know we’ve spent the past few weeks with humpback whales in beautiful Vava’u, Tonga. Now we’re back home and ready to rumble on our year-round dolphin/whale watching tours on the Kona Coast!

There are over a dozen species of year-round pelagic whales that we could find on our trips! This summer we’ve seen:

  • Short-Finned Pilot Whales

  • Melon-Headed Whales

  • False Killer Whales

  • Cuvier’s Beaked Whales

  • Sperm Whales

  • Whale Shark

  • Longman’s Beaked Whales (one of the rarest cetaceans in the world)

From the moment we exit Honokohau Harbor, we’re in whale territory!

We also love Kona’s dolphins of course! On our recent tours we encountered:

  • Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins

  • Bottlenose Dolphins

  • Pantropical Spotted Dolphins

  • Rough-Toothed Dolphins

  • Fraser’s Dolphins

Our team works hard to find as much wildlife as we can on every adventure!
